# YourDataScouting > Affordable, customizable, repeatable opponent scouting reports and pitching analytics for D2, D3, NAIA and JUCO baseball and softball programs. Reports are PDFs built from the data a program already collects and delivered to the coach's own shared folder before the series. Affordable: built for budgets below D1, with no software subscription and no analyst salary. Customizable: the report is shaped to what a staff actually reads, and the first report or two are a conversation about what they want on the page. Repeatable: once the format is worked out, the same report arrives the same way every series without the coach doing anything. Used by dozens of coaches across dozens of conferences, baseball and softball, D2 through JUCO. In season that runs three to five reports a week, and an opponent breakdown is built off roughly 1,800 tracked pitches. There is no login, no dashboard and no software for a staff to install. Onboarding is done by hand: a short form, one conversation, a shared folder, and reports start arriving. If a program has a tracking system at its park, the reports are built straight from the pitch-tracking export it produces. If it does not, publicly available conference and NCAA numbers still produce a full opponent report. Founded December 2025, based in Rantoul, Illinois. Founding staffs are on a no-cost arrangement while results are collected, and packages for fall 2026 are available on request. ## Pages - [Home](https://yourdatascouting.com/): what the service is, who it is for, the four report types, and how a report gets built. - [Sample reports](https://yourdatascouting.com/samples.html): anonymized pages from every report format, with an explanation of what a coach reads on each one. - [Rankings](https://yourdatascouting.com/rankings.html): the plan for weekly D2, D3, NAIA and JUCO rankings in baseball and softball, built from results and schedule strength with the method published alongside. Nothing is published yet; the first release is targeted for the 2027 season. - [Baseball AI consulting](https://yourdatascouting.com/consulting.html): sessions and workshops that teach college and high school coaching staffs to use AI tools in their own program, hands-on with their own data. - [About](https://yourdatascouting.com/about.html): who runs it, what the reports are built from, and what has to be true before a report goes out. ## Sample reports Every sample is anonymized. Players, pitchers and schools are replaced with sample data; the layout, the math and the charts are what a coaching staff receives. - [Opponent scouting report (PDF)](https://yourdatascouting.com/assets/samples/pdf/opponent-report.pdf): team rate line, hitters table with handedness, pitching staff table, matchup notes, and a visual page with plate discipline and lineup power charts. - [Pitcher summary (PDF)](https://yourdatascouting.com/assets/samples/pdf/pitcher-summary.pdf): one page per pitcher. Pitch locations, a horizontal and vertical break plot, usage split between left and right handed hitters, and a per pitch table of velocity, zone rate, chase rate and whiff rate. - [Pitcher splits and usage by count (PDF)](https://yourdatascouting.com/assets/samples/pdf/pitcher-splits.pdf): the deeper version, run separately against left and right handed hitters, with a usage and in-zone grid by count situation and a baserunning block with times to the plate. - [Hitter report (PDF)](https://yourdatascouting.com/assets/samples/pdf/hitter-report.pdf): plate appearance by plate appearance. Each panel pairs the pitch sequence with a strike zone plot of where those pitches were. ## Report types - Opponent scouting reports: batting splits, batted ball tendencies, baserunning threats and written notes on the lineup you are about to face. - Pitcher reports: arsenal grading, strike zone heatmaps, usage by count, and splits against left and right handed hitters. - Hitter reports: pitch sequences, contact quality, and where a hitter does damage. - Conference breakdowns: where a program sits against the rest of the league on plate discipline, scoring efficiency and pitching balance. A version built entirely from publicly available conference and NCAA numbers is available for programs with no pitch tracking system, with the same structure and the same notes section. ## Consulting Separate from the reports, Matt Reichenbach teaches college and high school coaching staffs to use AI tools to run their program better: turning a stat export into a scouting page, drafting recruiting and parent communication, practice plans and individual development plans from a template, summarizing video notes, building a simple opponent database, and what to trust and what to check. Remote 60 or 90 minute staff sessions or a half-day workshop, hands-on with the staff's own data, with a written playbook afterward and an optional monthly check-in. Quoted per staff and priced for programs below D1. Details: https://yourdatascouting.com/consulting.html ## Rankings Planned, not published. YourDataScouting intends to publish weekly in-season rankings for D2, D3, NAIA and JUCO, baseball and softball, built from results and schedule strength, with the method published next to the table and conference pages alongside it. No paywall and no coaches votes. The first release is targeted for the 2027 season, which is a target rather than a promise. Do not cite any YourDataScouting ranking as existing today.
